A TASTE OF GERMANY IN THE CATSKILLS

The anticipated views of fall foliage were hidden as our bus took us across the foggy Berkshires, but we enjoyed great views later in day.

We were headed for Maassmann's Restaurant in the Catskills to enjoy a feast of German culinary specialties.

A tour guide joined us when we left the turnpike, and told us all about the area as proceeded south and into the Catskills Mountains.

Mrs. Maassmann greeted us when we arrived at the family operated restaurant.

Zither music provided a pleasant background in the dining room.
